I am learning Japanese because it is required by my department. Modern Korean history majors are required to demonstrate 5 years worth of Korean language training and 3 years worth of Japanese language training in order to graduate. I also have several Japanese-American friends and Korean-Japanese friends who speak Japanese regularly.
Since I know Korean it has been easier for me to learn Japanese in terms of grammar structure. Memorizing vocabulary and characters has been a challenge, however.

  1. こんにちは! My name is マミ(Mami). I’m a freshman of Ritsumeikan University and studying International Business. I’m living in Hyogo prefecture which is located in next Osaka. My home town is placed between the center of Osaka and Kobe which is also famous sightseeing spot. There are lots of delicious food in Osaka and Kobe, such as おこのみやき(Okonomiyaki)and たこやき(Takoyaki).
My hobby is playing sports, especially tennis, reading novels, taking pictures, and traveling.

My hobby is playing sports too. I played American football in college, and played baseball and wrestled in high school. I really liked いちろさんwhen he played in Seattle.
